The set is a detail addition to the armament, not an aircraft model. It contains two 3D-printed GBU-10 Paveway I laser-guided bombs in the slow speed form with the fixed BSU-3A/B wing and the BSU-37/B fin in 1:72 scale. The parts are printed in modeling resin with the control surfaces, the seeker head and the surface detail faithfully captured.
The GBU-10 Paveway I was the first generation of laser-guided bomb, created by adding a guidance kit with a laser sensor and control surfaces to a conventional 2000 lb bomb. It was used from the Vietnam War onward and became the basis of the whole Paveway family. The set allows a faithful load to be hung under models of contemporary strike aircraft.
Separate the parts from the print supports, wash and degrease them; they are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay down a primer first, then the shades of aircraft ordnance and a fine picking out of the stencil bands. Use respiratory protection when sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
