Ten turned metal barrels of the British naval gun of 305 mm caliber in the Mk.X form, for ship models in 1:350.
Responsibility details are not available.
British naval guns of 305 mm caliber formed the main armament of large surface ships of the early twentieth century. The form designated Mk.X is one of them; the numeral in this designation distinguishes the individual forms of the same caliber, not the length of the barrel. On a model these barrels are the first thing a viewer notices, because they project from the outline of the ship and their shape and alignment say a great deal about the care taken over the build.
Ten turned metal barrels for ship models in 1:350; the number of pieces is given in the name itself. The metal construction is documented. Ten pieces are enough to replace the whole main armament of one model, or to leave spares for another build.
Cut the original barrels off where they emerge from the turret shield and level the areas. Open the holes out with a drill of the appropriate diameter and dry-fit them. On multi-gun turrets what matters is that the barrels are parallel to each other and at the same height; fit them all at once, therefore, and let them dry in a clamp or in a position where they cannot move. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before painting, degrease the metal and use a primer intended for metal, otherwise the coat will come off during handling.
For builders of ship models in 1:350 who want to replace plastic barrels with parts that have an accurate circular cross-section and a fine muzzle. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
