An injection-molded plastic kit of the light multi-purpose MBB Bo-105 helicopter in the CBS-4 version with a lengthened fuselage, done in 1:72 scale by the Ukrainian maker Amodel. The package holds parts in gray plastic, a clear cabin part and a decal sheet for the striking yellow-green police finish. It is a short-run production that offers an interesting subject but assumes a more experienced hand.
The Bo-105 was the first light twin-engine helicopter in the world and became famous for its hingeless composite rotor head, thanks to which it could manage aerobatic maneuvers including a loop. It entered service in 1970 and became a proven machine of police, rescue and army services. The German police used it for years for patrolling, searching and traffic surveillance.
With a short-run mold, count on cleaning flash and sprue stubs off the parts and on a trial fit before gluing. Use thin liquid cement for plastic and fit the cabin with its glazing carefully. Treat the surface with primer, apply the paint ideally with an airbrush and finish the police scheme with the decals supplied over a gloss clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
