An injection-molded plastic model of the Soviet ZiS-3 gun of 76 mm caliber in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. The set contains the gun on a carriage with split trails and three crew figures in various poses, so you can easily build a small combat scene from it. The parts are designed as snap-fit (they click together), so the basic assembly can be managed without glue.
The ZiS-3 was a general-purpose Soviet gun of 76 mm caliber that served both as a divisional and as an anti-tank gun. It was taken into Red Army service in 1942 and became one of the most widespread weapons of its category in the Second World War, with tens of thousands built. It was valued for its simple design, reliability and versatility in firing at armored targets and at troops alike.
Separate the small parts from the sprues carefully and clean them up. Although this is a snap-fit kit, you can make the joints stronger with a drop of liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting and paint the gun and the figures with an airbrush or a brush; the typical Soviet green comes to life with details brought out by a wash and drybrushing. On the crew, concentrate on the faces and the uniforms.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
