White blossoms are rewarding on a model scene: they brighten dark growth, separate two green areas from each other and make it easy to suggest spring or a neglected garden that nobody has mown. A single shrub fills the corner of a base, a row of them suggests a field boundary, a fence or the edge of a road. White goes with any color scheme of a vehicle or a figure, so it does not overpower the main subject of the scene.
Medium-sized shrubs of synthetic material, each with a thin stem by which the shrub can be gripped with tweezers and pushed into the base. The rendering matches 1:35 scale as well as figures of 75 and 90 mm. The exact quantity and the dimensions are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The shrubs do not have to stay at their original height; shorten them with small scissors and adjust their shape, as growth made of shrubs of equal height looks artificial. Pierce or drill a hole in the base, glue the stem into it with PVA glue and hold the shrub with tweezers until the glue has set. It pays to mix several shades and densities side by side, for instance alternating white shrubs with pink ones or with deep green growth. Scatter soil, gravel or ground cover around the foot of the shrub and flood it with thinned glue, so that the transition between plant and terrain does not show.
The base, the terrain compound, the scatter, the glue and the figures are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
