The NATO green shade from the Gunze Mr.Color modeling range, listed under the code C519. Intended for the finishes of military hardware in the standard European camouflage.
Responsibility details are not available.
Bronzegrun NATO is the green paint which NATO armies use as the base shade of armored vehicles and trucks. Since the 1980s it has formed, together with brown and black, the trio that makes up the standard European camouflage of tanks, armored personnel carriers and the vehicles of support units. The green area takes the largest share in this pattern, so it is the green that determines the overall impression of the finished model.
The paint belongs to the Gunze Mr.Color range and is listed under the code C519. The thinner and the thinning ratio follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; use the thinner intended for this range, because another solvent may curdle the finish or knock back its sheen. Mix the bottle thoroughly before every use, so that settled pigment returns into the paint and the shade stays the same even after it has stood for a long time.
The most even layer comes from an airbrush and several light passes, between which the paint is left to flash off. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand and give it a primer, otherwise the shade holds less well on smooth plastic. Mask the hard transitions of the camouflage, and spray soft transitions from a shorter distance and at reduced pressure. When applying it with a brush, work in thin coats and do not go back over an area that is already drying.
Thinner, brushes, masks and an airbrush are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
