This red belongs to a range of shades put together specifically for Gundam kits. The scheme of the RX-78 robot rests on four colors, which alongside this red are white, blue and yellow, and each of them has its own item in the range. The shades are mixed so that side by side they look as they do on the real subject, so you do not have to hunt them down and mix them one by one.
It most often comes into play on the chest armor, on the shield and on other parts that are meant to stand out from the white areas of the robot. A deep red is, however, a color with little covering power, so the result depends a great deal on the base: over a light base it comes out bright, over a dark one it darkens toward brown. It therefore pays to even the base out beforehand.
The paint is for builders of robot kits who want to spray the model rather than leave it in the color of the plastic. A sprayed surface holds its tone even after sharper assembly and disassembly and will take a final tinting or a matte or gloss varnish.
Thinner, a base color, varnish and a kit are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
