A modeling paint from the Mr.Color range, a brown shade for early-variant Japanese army armored vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
A brown shade from the Mr.Color range made for Japanese army armored vehicles, specifically their earlier variant. Brown was one component of the multi-tone camouflage on Japanese vehicles, complementing darker greens and lighter ocher tones, so the shade works both as a single overall coat and as one field of a camouflage pattern.
The paint is applied with both a brush and an airbrush. Use the thinner made for this range and the mixing ratio per the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Wash and degrease the model's surface before painting. Apply several thin coats rather than one heavy one; a thin coat preserves fine surface relief and small rivets and dries more evenly. Mix the bottle contents thoroughly before use, since the pigment settles to the bottom.
Extensive hull surfaces look more convincing when the base shade is broken up slightly: lighten the center of large areas a little, darken the lower sections. Edges and raised features can be highlighted with dry-brushing, while seams and recesses can be emphasized with a darker glaze. For later work with pigments and dust deposits, it helps to have a smooth, well-dried base underneath them.
For builders of Japanese ground equipment and for anyone who needs to add a brown shade to their palette for camouflage schemes. Thinner, a brush and other modeling supplies are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
