The R-95Sh engine nozzles for the Su-25 in 1:72 replace the plastic exhaust nozzles from the kit with printed parts. An accessory for a model, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models in 1:72 scale, printed from photopolymer. It holds the exhaust nozzles of the R-95Sh engines in the form for the Su-25 ground-attack aircraft. It replaces the plastic nozzles from the kit and does not make up an aircraft model on its own.
The manufacturer describes the exhaust nozzle as a welded structure of sheet steel that carries the exhaust gases away from the turbine and is attached to its outlet assembly. The R-95Sh is a turbojet without an afterburner, as befits a subsonic ground-attack aircraft meant for the direct support of ground troops. The nozzles of the Su-25 therefore look different from those on supersonic aircraft: they are shorter, simpler and without variable petals.
Cut the print supports away with a scalpel and sand the pads carefully, because every unevenness shows clearly in the mouth of a nozzle. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. The inside of the nozzle looks best in metallic shades with heat staining toward blue-violet and brown; metallic paints go on over a smooth gloss base and are harder to mask, so leave them for last. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
