IJA Dark Green 17ml

Vallejo Model Air IJA Dark Green, 17 ml

An opaque water-based acrylic paint from the Model Air range, supplied in a sprayable consistency. The shade is dark green with a hint of olive and belongs to the set of tones for Japanese ground vehicles. To be sure, we should add that it is an ordinary opaque paint, not a glaze or an auxiliary medium.

Adhesion and surface preparation

• Water-based acrylics hold best on a degreased and primed surface. Before spraying, wash the model in lukewarm water with a little detergent and let it dry completely.
• Primer is more than a recommendation with this chemistry. On bare glossy plastic a thin layer of acrylic is easily rubbed off during masking or handling.
• Let the primer mature properly, ideally overnight. Spraying onto fresh primer tends to be the cause of later flaking.
• Once it has dried, do not touch the model with bare hands more than necessary — fingerprints leave grease on which not even a clear coat will then hold.
• The paint itself forms a matte, slightly velvety film to which the following layer and the weathering adhere well.

Who the paint is for

The paint will be used by modelers of ground vehicles and by figure painters who spray the base tone with an airbrush and then finish the details with a brush. Thanks to the water-thinnable binder, work with aggressive solvents falls away, which anyone building at home in a living room will appreciate.

A water-based acrylic paint. Ventilate and use a respirator when spraying. Keep out of the reach of children, protect from frost and close the container after use.
