LEAVES AND SHRUBBERY FOLIAGE (ELONGATED)

Leaves and Shrubbery Foliage - the elongated variant (AK interactive)

Scenic foliage combining leaves with shrub growth, supplied in an elongated form. With foliage that is an essential difference: a compact clump suits round bushes, whereas the elongated form fits everywhere vegetation grows lengthwise - along a fence and a wall, along the edge of a ditch, over rubble, around a doorframe and a window opening in a ruin, along wires and gratings. Climbing growth that rises up a vertical surface can be shaped from it, as can an overhanging branch, because it can be stretched and bent into the curve needed.

Use

• First stretch the material carefully to the length needed and loosen it up; a compressed clump looks like a sponge, a loosened one like foliage.
• Running it along linear features - a fence, a wall, a ditch, a track - is the main advantage of the elongated form.
• On the vertical surface of a ruin or a wall climbing growth can be shaped; work from the bottom up and let the growth thin out at the top.
• A three-dimensional look comes from layering: two or three thin layers over each other look better than one dense block.
• Finally match the shade with the rest of the vegetation in the scene and let the growth run into tufts or into scatter on the ground.

Who it is for

For builders of dioramas with ruins and urban greenery, for railroad modelers, where vegetation lines the track and the embankments, and for anyone who needs vegetation run lengthwise rather than in separate round bushes.

Do not inhale the fine parts of the material and work in a ventilated room.
