A set of eleven replacement wheels for the US M26 heavy tractor nicknamed Dragon Wagon, in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M26 heavy tractor with its armored cab hauled the heaviest loads the US Army could move by road. Together with the M15 trailer it formed a rig for transporting and recovering tanks, and its size earned it the nickname Dragon Wagon. From here crews dragged damaged machines off the battlefield and moved whole units, so that the tanks were spared the miles and the wear on their tracks.
Eleven wheels in 1:35 scale. A rig of this size stands on far more wheels than an ordinary truck, and it is the wheels that make up much of what is visible on the model from the side. Replacing them therefore shows more than reworking the hidden areas under the cab.
The parts are not polystyrene and plastic cement does not work on them; use cyanoacrylate glue and degrease the mating surfaces first. Spray a primer before painting, because paint holds badly on the smooth surface. With this many wheels it pays to build the model on a flat surface and keep checking that all of them sit down. Apply dust only after gluing and grade it, because the lower part of the wheels is dirtier than the upper.
For builders of US logistic and recovery equipment in 1:35 scale and for anyone building a rig with a tank as its load. The package does not contain the model, paints or glue, unless stated otherwise.
