Responsibility details are not available.
A title from Kagero's naval line, focused according to its name on the Japanese light cruiser Yubari.
The Yubari was exceptional among cruisers in that she was built as an experimental ship. The aim was to fit armament comparable with far larger cruisers into a small displacement. The result was a ship with her battery laid out unusually on the centerline, with a characteristic curved funnel assembly and with a very compact silhouette that cannot be mistaken for any other unit. The solutions tried out on her then carried over into later Japanese cruisers.
For a modeler the Yubari is tempting precisely because she looks unlike the others. A small hull with a densely built-up superstructure means that even a model in a tiny scale comes across as rich, while taking up little room in the cabinet. With unusual ships, general surveys as a rule do not supply enough detail, so literature focused directly on one vessel has its place on the shelf.
This is a printed publication. It is not a kit and not an accessory; the package holds no modeling parts.
