A matte varnish of the Real Colors range from AK Interactive in a bottle with a volume of 17 ml. It is applied to a finished model as the last coat and does two things at once. Above all it evens the gloss out: after painting, decals and glazes the surface reflects differently in every place, and it is uneven gloss that gives a model away sooner than anything else. At the same time it seals the decals and the traces of service under a uniform layer, so that they are not rubbed off during handling.
At the very end, after the decals and after the traces of service have been brought out. Military vehicles and figures take a flat finish without reservation, while on civil vehicles and polished surfaces a flat finish is unwanted. If a model combines both, mask the areas that are to stay glossy or spray them separately. It is equally worth keeping the varnish away from the canopy glazing and the headlights.
Shake the bottle for longer than feels comfortable: the flattening agent settles at the bottom and a poorly mixed varnish will leave blotches. Apply two thin coats instead of one generous one and thin it only with the product the manufacturer recommends for this range, not automatically with water. Do not spray in high humidity or onto a cold model, otherwise the surface will blush, and a white bloom can only be removed by spraying over it.
The package contains a bottle of varnish with a volume of 17 ml. Thinner, an airbrush and brushes are not included, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and store the bottle closed and out of the reach of children.
