A grass mat strewn with yellow flowers, in two sheets, for cutting into the tufts of a meadow in bloom.
Responsibility details are not available.
A yellow flowering area is a short but unmissable moment in a landscape: a field of rape in May, dandelions on an untended lawn, mustard sown on stubble. The mat carries such a scene ready made, with yellow points scattered among the stalks. Each of the two sheets is 145 mm in height, 90 in width, and the stalk reaches one centimeter.
From the cutout you take only as much as a scene will stand. Roughly two hundred small clumps come from one package, so the two sheets will last for several projects. Flowering growth moreover works differently from ordinary grass; the eye jumps to it at once, and so it is handled more like a spice, in small islands by a road or along a fence.
The mat has no adhesive layer. Either thin white glue is applied to the terrain with a brush, or a dot of the thick gel form of cyanoacrylate goes under the root of the tuft itself. When the fibers flatten after being pressed down, fluff them up again with your fingers until the flowers point upward.
Leave the scattered flowers in the minority; a preponderance of green area lends a scene credibility. It also helps to put a few clumps in places a mower and a wheel cannot reach: at the foot of a wall, in the corner of a fence or behind a curb.
