Instant Weathering Transparent Decals #2 - Graffiti, Tags and Letters

Instant Weathering - Graffiti, tags and letters, set 2 (USCHI van der Rosten)

A sheet of transparent decals from the Instant Weathering system, not a kit. Set 2 is focused on graffiti, spray-can tags and individual letters, with which you give a model or a diorama an urban, abandoned or postwar atmosphere. The motifs are printed on clear carrier film, so they can be applied to a dark base as well as a light one and combined or overlapped in various ways. This technique makes it possible to add wear and lettering at once, with no painting and no masking. The manufacturer is the German brand USCHI van der Rosten, which developed the Instant Weathering system.

Use

• Apply onto a smooth, clear-coated surface so that the decal adheres well and does not go dull.
• Apply the motif wet and settle it with a setting solution, especially on contoured surfaces.
• Place graffiti and tags on vertical surfaces (walls, wrecks, containers) and use the letters for lettering and markings.
• You achieve realism by overlaying further weathering lightly over the graffiti - it then looks aged rather than like fresh decoration.
• Finish with a matte or semi-matte clear coat according to the surface.

Who it is for

For diorama builders and modelers who want to bring graffiti, tags and lettering into an urban, industrial or postwar scene quickly without laborious painting by hand.

This is a finishing accessory (a decal), not a model. Paints, clear coat and setting solutions are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
