A miniature leaf punch, the variant designated Light Blue. It serves to punch out small leaves for dioramas and display bases.
Responsibility details are not available.
Greenery is among the most laborious parts of a diorama. Bought scatter material looks coarse close up and cutting leaves one by one with scissors has no end. A miniature punch shortens this work: you put thin material into the slot, press the lever and a precisely shaped leaf drops out of the tool. In a few minutes you punch out a handful of them, and all of them have the same shape and size, which shows on a model.
The range of punches is distinguished by a color designation, and this item carries the designation Light Blue. The particular shape and size of the cut is stated by the manufacturer for each variant, so check before buying that it matches the plant you want to imitate.
Paint the material on both sides before punching, because the edges of a finished leaf are hard to touch up. Choose thin and springy paper; hard and thick materials blunt the tool and may damage the cutting edge. Glue the punched leaves spot by spot, with PVA glue for paper or with super glue, and set them with tweezers at a slightly irregular angle, so that the growth does not look as if it had been cut from a single sheet. After work, wipe the tool dry, because remains of damp paper in the mechanism dry stuck to the cutting edge.
This is the tool itself. Paper, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
