About product

Mr.Paint Pale Roundel Blue BS172

A solvent-based lacquer paint in a light blue shade to the British standard BS381C:172 Pale Roundel Blue. This tone is used for British national markings (roundels) and other markings. The paint is applied with an airbrush, lays down in a very thin film, covers well and dries fast to a smooth, clean surface suited even to the small areas of markings.

Use

  • Applied exclusively with an airbrush in thin coats
  • Thinned with lacquer thinner, never with water
  • Suitable for British roundels and national markings
  • The thin film makes masking small markings easier
  • Fast drying and a bright, clean shade

Who the paint is for

The paint will be appreciated by modelers of British aircraft who spray national markings with masks instead of decals, and by anyone who works with precise markings using an airbrush. The shade matches the BS381C:172 standard; the lacquer film holds on plastic and on primer and takes subsequent clears and final finishes. Accurate masking and several thin passes give crisp, clean edges to a national marking even without a decal, so the marking looks like part of the paintwork.

A flammable liquid containing solvents. Spray in a well-ventilated space or in an extraction booth, use a respirator, keep away from open flame and store out of the reach of children.
