Another of the autumn variants of the LIANG Model paper foliage range. It is neither a finished tree nor a kit; it is a loose scenic material with which you cover your own armature of a woody plant and give a scene its autumn character. It finds a use everywhere you want vegetation grown upward, not just scattered over the ground.
Against loose foliage and torn foam, paper leaves hold the shape of a leaf, so a crown does not look like a shapeless mass painted green. The autumn key also makes it possible to work with the transition that is typical of the season: denser foliage in the lower part, thinned out at the ends of the branches, a few leaves caught in the moss and the grass under the tree. With the same material you can cover ivy on a wall, a hedge or self-seeded growth growing through a wreck; there the autumn tones work especially well, because they contrast with rusted sheet metal.
You will most often make the armature of a woody plant from twisted wires or from a dried natural twig. Proceed part by part: coat a branch with PVA glue, dip it into a dish of leaves, tap the surplus off gently and let it dry. Once it has dried, repeat the step where the crown is to be denser; layering gives a tree the depth that one application will not achieve. Finally fix the tree lightly with matte varnish from a greater distance, so that the leaves do not come loose during handling. Leave a few bare branches as well, as a crown with no gaps looks artificial.
This is a scenic accessory, not a kit. The armature of the tree, glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
