A saturated green of the phthalo type from the Abteilung 502 acrylic line. Pigments of this type are known in painting practice for their intensity and their cool character shifted toward blue. The binder is acrylic, the paint is thinned with water or a thinner for acrylics, and it differs from the oil and enamel products of the same brand in its chemistry as well as in the way it is thinned.
This is not a shade to be mixed by eye. Phthalo greens tend to have exceptional tinting strength, so even a small amount can overpower a markedly larger dose of another color. In a mix, therefore, proceed the other way round from usual: start with the lighter or neutral color and add the green a drop at a time, stirring between the individual steps and trying a stroke on a test patch. If the shade is overdone, bringing it back costs disproportionately more paint. The same holds on a brush: a trace of unthinned paint on a damp brush will tint a whole glaze. For thin glazes and filters it is therefore better to prepare a thinned working mix separately and only then take from it.
For modelers who mix their green shades themselves and want a clean, strongly tinting green in their palette. Anyone looking for a finished military shade will rather reach for a particular named color.
Close the bottle after use and stir the contents before applying. Ventilate and protect your airways when spraying. Keep out of the reach of children and protect from frost.
