The dark gray RLM 66 in its 1938 form, an acrylic paint of the Real Colors range in a 17 ml package. A shade associated with the interiors of German aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
RLM 66 is a dark gray with a cast toward black. Of the numbers of the German aircraft chart, a modeler meets this one most often inside a machine: in the cockpit, on the instrument panel and on the small fittings of the pilot's compartment. The year in the name distinguishes the older form of the shade from the later variant, which the range offers separately, so you can pick the one closer to the period of your subject.
On the walls and floor of the cockpit, on the canopy frame from the inside, on the instrument panel and on the seat, if that is not to be in another finish. Earlier machines tended to have the interior in a lighter gray tone, so with an early subject it pays to check the cockpit color in the kit instructions. The shade also suits the small fittings inside the fuselage and touch-ups after sanding.
The paint is supplied in a volume of 17 ml. Do not return the remainder from the cup to the bottle, to keep dirt out of it. A thinner, a primer, varnish and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. For thinning, cleaning tools and storage, follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Work in a well-ventilated room and keep the bottle carefully closed and out of the reach of children.
