Rubbel Dust — weathering pigment from Abteilung 502

A finely ground matte pigment from Abteilung 502 in a 20 ml jar. A dry pigment powder for creating patina, not a covering paint. The pale gray shade reproduces the dust of ruined masonry, plaster and concrete.

Use

• The dust of rubble and debris on ruined buildings
• A gray cement and plaster film on ruins
• Dusting vehicles and equipment in the rubble of a city
• Pale dusting of upper surfaces and edges after an explosion
• Applied dry, blended and fixed with a fixer or a matte varnish

Who the pigment is for

Especially suited to diorama makers working on urban and wartime scenes, but also to weathering vehicles moving through rubble. It combines with dark earths for a contrast between dust and grime.

A fine pigment powder. Do not inhale it, work in a ventilated space and consider a respirator. Keep out of the reach of children.
