A modeling paint from Hataka, from the Orange Line range, a sand yellow shade after the German designation RLM 79a.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sand yellow shade matches the German designation RLM 79. During the Second World War the Luftwaffe covered the upper surfaces of machines deployed in North Africa and the Mediterranean with it, where the green camouflage of Central Europe gave an aircraft away at first sight. On a model it is usually paired with a light blue shade on the undersurfaces, which looks cool against it and lifts the whole machine optically.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use and during work, otherwise the settled pigment comes out unevenly. Apply the paint in several thin coats; only the last of them should cover fully. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the package, and follow it when cleaning the tools as well. Try the shade first on a piece of scrap material, as it looks different on a large surface than in the bottle.
In small scales it pays to lighten the shade slightly, because a great distance always fades a color in nature and a model without that looks dark. Desert machines also aged fast: upper surfaces bleached by the sun, boot wear at the wing root and fine dust in the panel lines do more for credibility than hitting the shade exactly. Before applying the decals, let the surface dry well and coat it with a gloss varnish, so that the decal does not go matte.
Thinner, brushes and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
