The self-adhesive Chequer M stencil from Green Stuff World carries a checkerboard pattern with an element size of 6 mm. It is universal, so it is not cut for one model or for one scale, and you will use it anywhere you want a regular checkerboard without laborious measuring. The self-adhesive version means that the stencil holds on the surface by itself and you do not have to press it down or tape it around the whole edge.
The Chequer range comes in three element sizes; this one sits in the middle of the range and is the most universal. What decides is the ratio of the pattern to the area: too fine a checkerboard is lost on a large surface, too coarse a one overpowers small detail. Before you start, clean the surface of dust and grease so that the stencil adheres reliably, and lay the paint on in several light coats, otherwise it creeps under the edge and the pattern loses its crispness.
It suits modelers and miniature painters who work with an airbrush or a brush and want a regular geometric pattern without measuring by hand. Thanks to the universal design it is not tied to one kit.
