A light blue shade listed under the number FS 35466 and under the name Sky Blue. The number comes from the federal standard FS 595, which describes shades with a five-digit code: the first digit gives the degree of gloss, a three in that place means a matte finish, and the second digit places the tone in the group of blues. Thanks to that the shade can be compared unambiguously across brands. The paint belongs to the Orange Line range by Hataka.
Light blue shades come into their own in modeling wherever a surface should look airy and where a subtle difference against the surrounding gray is needed. The matte finish also produces no reflections, so the shape reads better in a photograph of the finished model. Check the specific use against the source material for the machine you are building.
Stir the contents thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom during storage and unstirred paint has a shifted tone. Thin it with the thinner intended for this range and in the ratio stated by the manufacturer on the packaging; a foreign thinner can curdle the paint. Light shades cover better over a light surface, so a base coat pays off. Apply in thin coats and let each one set, otherwise the surface detail gets clogged.
