A photo-etched set from Eduard for a model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I is the first production version of the British fighter with which the Royal Air Force entered the Second World War and fought the Battle of Britain. Its distinguishing mark is the elliptical wing, in which the designers laid out eight rifle-caliber machine guns. It is that wing that makes the Spitfire a rewarding model and at the same time sets the builder the task of keeping its thin leading and trailing edges.
A fret of photo-etched metal parts for building a model of the Spitfire Mk.I in 1:32 scale. In a scale that large the open cockpit and the landing gear bay are visible from an ordinary distance, and every plastic part that is too thick stands out. Metal a few tenths of a millimeter thick resolves that contradiction. The extent of the fret and the kit it is matched to are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by twisting. Make the bends in an etch bender or against the edge of a steel rule, and do them in one movement. Degrease the metal before gluing, as a fingerprint will reliably stop paint and glue from holding. It is glued with super glue or two-part resin, and only a little of either should be applied. Cut the original plastic part away only once you have the metal replacement cleaned up and tried dry.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
