A plastic profile of a ready-made stair railing in white polystyrene from Plastruct. The section is roughly 10.7 mm high, 19.1 mm wide and 150 mm long; both the rake and the proportions match a railing at HO scale, that is around 1:100. It is a ready-made modeling material, not a model kit.
The profile is shortened with a blade to the length needed and glued with cement for plastic or with cyanoacrylate glue. Once primed, white styrene takes ordinary modeling paints. It pairs well with the straight railing used on platforms and galleries.
