Transparent Bull Frog, an 11 inch educational kit is a transparent anatomical model of the American bullfrog from the brand Lindberg. The model is built and reveals the internal structure of the body.
Responsibility details are not available.
An anatomical kit of a frog, specifically the American bullfrog, with a transparent body thanks to which the internal organs are visible once it is assembled. The brand Lindberg keeps the model as a teaching aid, that is as a clear demonstration of the structure of an amphibian body, not as a decorative figure. The figure of 11 inches in the name refers to the size of the model, that is roughly 28 centimeters.
Transparent models of this kind are built so that the external outline of the body is formed by a clear plastic shell and inside there are separate parts representing the individual organ systems. Once assembled, the way the organs lie in relation to one another in the body can be followed, something that flat pictures in a textbook show only with difficulty. The number of organs shown, the contents of the package and the extent of the enclosed material are given on the packaging.
Touch the clear parts as little as possible and only along the edges; fingerprints are hard to remove from transparent plastic. Do not use classic solvent-based plastic cement on the clear parts, as it fogs the surface; a cement for model glazing, which dries without clouding, applied in the smallest possible amount is more suitable. Paint the internal parts and let them cure thoroughly before you close the body up, because you cannot reach them from inside afterwards. Leave the outer shell clear; any spraying would spoil the transparency for which the model exists.
The model is supplied unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
