A push broach scriber of tungsten steel with a flat edge 1.6 mm wide. A tool from the upper part of the width range, which removes material in a wide cut and is used where a fine scriber would mean dozens of needless strokes.
A groove run off line and a scored surface happen even to an experienced modeler and are no reason to put the model aside. A shallow score usually disappears after sanding back with fine abrasive paper and polishing. A deeper furrow in the wrong place has to be filled, either with putty or with a drop of super glue, left to cure properly and trued back to a plane. Only then does one scribe again, this time with a guide. The important thing is not to hurry the repair while the filling is not fully cured, otherwise the spot sinks once painted and shows more than the original mistake.
