The DSPIAE Tungsten Steel Panel Line Scriber Push Broach 0.8 mm is a push scriber of tungsten steel with a chisel edge 0.8 mm wide for scribing wider grooves.
Responsibility details are not available.
A push broach scriber of tungsten steel with a flat edge 0.8 mm wide. It removes material with the whole edge and leaves behind a groove with a flat bottom, which shows even from the usual viewing distance of a finished model.
A scribed groove does not make the model on its own; only the steps that follow turn it into detail. First the burr has to be taken off around it, that is the material pushed out along the sides of the groove. A light pass with fine abrasive paper or a soft eraser is enough, otherwise the burr will show under paint as a ridge. Then comes the primer, which unifies the groove and reveals the places where the scribing is uneven. Only on a painted and smooth surface does it make sense to use a paneliner, which runs into the groove by capillary action and brings the line out. On a matte base it bleeds, which is why a coat of gloss is usually laid on before this step.
For modelers who want to bring out panel lines and need a groove deep enough for the highlighter to stay in it, and for builders of large scales.
The edge is sharp along its whole width. Work on a mat, guide the stroke away from your body and do not breathe the fine plastic dust from scribing, but remove it with a brush.
