The artilleryman trousers of the early period have a tone of their own in the Lifecolor line, namely the acrylic paint German WWII Artilleryman Trousers Early War.

What is interesting about this item is its name: besides the garment it also defines a placement in time. It is a water-based acrylic paint from the Lifecolor figure range, that is a shade for small areas painted with a brush.
Production batches of fabric changed over time, and modelers who build scenes from a particular year want to see that difference. The shade with the early variant designation is therefore a separate item in the palette and is not to be confused with a general trouser tone. If you are building a scene with several figures, exactly such a distinction helps: the figures are set apart from one another subtly, without the colorfulness that would take believability away from a scene. Both shadow and highlight are therefore mixed from the same tone and the step between them is kept as small as possible.
It will be appreciated by figure painters who build scenes with gun crews and want a shade in the palette assigned to a particular period rather than just a general uniform color. It will also serve where several figures in one scene are meant to be in slightly different trousers.
Store out of the reach of children, ventilate while painting and close the container carefully after work.
