A single bottle of acrylic modeling paint from the palette of the Italian manufacturer Lifecolor. The name of the shade translates as old track and it joins the neighboring tones of the same palette, which are named after the state of the running gear. The shade therefore aims at the dark, weathered character of a surface that has a long service life behind it.
The running gear is the place on a model of armor where it shows most whether the modeler did the job properly. A new track and a track after hundreds of kilometers of service look completely different: the tone changes, the ratio between the metal contact faces and the rest changes, and so does how much of the base color is visible at all. Shades named after the age of the track give the modeler a ready starting point instead of mixing from base colors, and above all they make it possible to build a whole scale so that the individual steps match one another. A darker weathered tone meanwhile suits use outside tracks as well, for example on old weathered metal in a diorama.
The paint is intended for modelers of armor and construction machinery and for diorama builders who work with weathered metal and with running gear.
