WWI French Milky Coffee is an acrylic modeling paint from the 3rd Generation line of the AK interactive brand, meant for the French camouflage scheme of combat equipment of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a modeling acrylic paint, that is a water-thinnable dispersion, not an enamel or a lacquer. It belongs to the 3rd Generation line of the AK interactive brand, specifically to its sub-line for ground combat equipment. The shade comes from the palette of French multicolor camouflage of the period of the First World War, where light creamy brown tones were combined with green and brown fields separated by dark outlines. Check the volume of the bottle and the degree of gloss on the label of the particular package.
Out of the bottle the paint is fairly thick, so that it covers well when working with a brush. For spraying, always thin it: add water or an acrylic thinner of the same brand drop by drop and stir until the paint runs off the stirrer in a continuous thread, roughly like skimmed milk. Do not use cellulose thinner or thinners meant for lacquers, as the acrylic binder would curdle. Shake the bottle thoroughly before every use; the pigment settles at the bottom and paint that has not been stirred changes its tone and its covering power.
It will be appreciated by modelers who build equipment of the period of the First World War and want to work with a ready palette instead of mixing shades themselves. Thanks to the water-thinnable binder it also suits work at home, where ventilation is limited and solvent paints are impractical.
An acrylic paint. When spraying, ventilate and use respiratory protection; keep the bottle closed out of the reach of children and protect it from frost.
