AK interactive Yellow 17 ml – Acrylic Modeling Paint

Yellow is a basic, pure and neutral yellow from the AK interactive acrylic paint range. It is a water-thinnable acrylic in a 17 ml dropper bottle, applied with a brush or an airbrush, and stays matte once dry. It is thinned with water or acrylic thinner — never with alcohol or lacquer thinner. Note: this is a modeling paint, not a kit or a model.

Use

• Warning and caution features on equipment, stripes and identification areas.
• Decorative and accent areas on aircraft, vehicles and figures.
• Racing and sporty liveries, where a rich signal yellow is used.
• Mixing shades — as a pure primary component for green, orange and ocher tones.

Covering power and a white base

Yellow is among the pigments with weak covering power. Applied directly onto gray, dark or colored plastic, it looks dirty and greenish even after several coats. Apply it over a white base (a white undercoat or a light primer) instead, and build it up in several thin coats, letting each dry. A single heavy coat will not save the yellow — it will only bury detail and create unevenness.

Yellow, or Deep Yellow?

This shade is the lighter, pure variant. If you are looking for a richer yellow shifting toward orange — a warmer, darker tone for decor, historical features or bolder warning areas — reach for the shade Deep Yellow from the same range. Both paints complement each other well and can be mixed together.

Who the paint is for

For modelers of aircraft, military equipment, cars and figures who need a reliable base yellow in their palette, and equally for beginners — the acrylic is thinned with water, brushes are cleaned with water, and it does not smell like solvent-based paints.

Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. When spraying with an airbrush, ensure adequate ventilation and protect your airways (a respirator). Keep out of the reach of children. The paint is supplied on its own; brushes, thinner and the model are not included in the package.
