A plastic kit of the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa road supersport in 1:12 scale from the Japanese maker Tamiya. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and offers a finely worked inline four-cylinder engine, a shaped upper fairing, a precise swingarm and synthetic rubber tires. Metallic stickers for the front fork are included as well.
The Suzuki Hayabusa, introduced in 1998, caused a great stir as one of the fastest production motorcycles of its day. It is powered by a liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder DOHC engine of around 175 horsepower. The characteristic fairing with vertically arranged twin headlights was designed for the sake of smooth airflow to the intake.
Build and paint the frame, the engine and the fairing separately. It is best to go over the bodywork with a gloss coat for a faithful factory look, and chrome and polished parts come out well in metallic shades. Pick out the chain, the brakes and the engine detail with fine weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
