Wheels with tires flattened under load for the Mil Mi-6 Hook in 1:144 scale are a resin accessory from the Armory brand. This is not a model of the helicopter but a replacement for the wheels of the base plastic kit.

This set is an accessory, not a kit of the helicopter. It contains wheels cast in resin that replace the wheels supplied in the plastic kit. The tires are shaped with the settling where they touch the ground, that is with the deformation a real wheel has under the weight of the machine. The manufacturer is Armory. The exact number of parts and whether the package contains masks for the hubs are not stated here.
On a helicopter the wheel is one of the few parts the viewer has at eye level and close up in a cabinet. Injection-molded plastic has a parting line around the tire that has to be sanded away, and the tread pattern tends to be simplified because of the mold technology. A resin casting does not suffer from this limitation, so it holds crisper relief on the hub as well as the tire profile. In 1:144 scale these are small parts, but the difference is clearly visible, because the wheels make up a substantial part of the landing gear silhouette.
First wash the casting in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap so that the remains of mold release agent disappear from the surface. Without that neither primer nor paint will hold. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a sharp knife; do not snap it. Level the surface left by the cut on sanding paper laid on a flat board, so that the wheel seats on the landing gear leg with no gap. It is glued with cyanoacrylate, that is super glue. Ordinary cement for plastic models does not hold on resin. Before fitting, check that the settled part of the tire faces down toward the base, otherwise the deformation looks unnatural. The hub is most easily brushed in once the tire has been sprayed.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
