A plastic kit of the Toyota MR2 sports car of the first generation, type AW11, in 1:24 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Toyota MR2 of type AW11 is the first generation of the small two-seat sports car that the Japanese carmaker built around an untraditional layout: the inline four-cylinder is mounted transversely in the middle of the car, that is, behind the seats and in front of the rear axle, and it drives the rear wheels. The body has the sharply cut wedge shapes of the 1980s, pop-up headlights and short overhangs. It was precisely the combination of a light car and a mid-mounted engine that made the MR2 a car which appeared a great deal on circuits and in amateur sport.
It is a plastic kit in 1:24 scale, that is, a model you build yourself. The number of parts, the division of the body and the extent to which the engine bay and the interior are worked out are given by the manufacturer in the instructions enclosed with the kit.
Paint the body before you join it to the lower part, and let the finish harden properly so that fingerprints are not left on it. Before spraying, wash the parts with lukewarm water and a drop of detergent and let them dry. Bring out the gaps of the doors and hoods with a thin line, otherwise they will be lost in a glossy finish. Glue the glazing at the very end and with a cement that will not cloud the clear part.
Paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
