The real subject

The Browning .30 caliber (7.62 mm) was a widespread American aircraft machine gun. In the fixed form it pointed forward in the direction of flight and was operated by the pilot; it was used as onboard armament on a number of aircraft. The fine castings capture the mechanism and the surface detail of the weapon faithfully.

Building and painting tips

First wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. The metal look of the weapon will be helped by a dark steel base, fine dry-brushing and light polishing of the edges.
