This set is not an airplane model but a resin accessory for 1:32 scale from the Wheelliant brand. It holds precisely cast replacement wheels for the Israeli F-16I Sufa with so-called weighting — the tires are flattened at the bottom and slightly bulged, as if the full weight of the aircraft rested on them on the apron. The castings carry a fine tread pattern and the lettering on the sidewalls, which the injection-molded parts from the kit usually lack.
The F-16I Sufa (storm in Hebrew) is the two-seat Israeli version of the F-16 fighter derived from Block 52. Its recognition features are the conformal fuel tanks along the sides of the fuselage, which markedly extend its range, and extensive Israeli avionics. The landing gear of a modern heavy fighter is massive, and its worn tires are among the details that catch the eye at once on a well-built model.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. It pays to mask the wheel and the tire and spray them separately; the rubber is worth matting down and lightly dusting with pigment for a realistic look.
This is an accessory for a model, not the model itself. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
