The set brings a figure of a US Navy pilot of the Second World War period together with the seat he sits in. Its purpose for a model of the F4U Corsair follows directly from the name of the item, so both the pose and the proportions are suited to the cockpit of that machine in 1:32 scale.
The F4U Corsair was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War, unmistakable thanks to its inverted gull wing and long nose. It was flown by pilots of the Navy and of the Marine Corps. In 1:32 scale the cockpit is so large that an empty seat catches the eye at first glance; a seated figure fills the space and at the same time gives the model scale, because the viewer finally has something to compare the size of the machine with.
Cut the excess material off a short way from the part with a sharp blade and sand the remainder; wash and degrease the figure before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. Dry-fit it first, because the space in the cockpit tends to be tight and the seat may argue with the parts from the kit. Build the face and hands up from a darker base toward lighter layers, emphasize the folds of the clothing with a dark wash and leave the eyes right until the end.
The package contains a figure and a seat. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
