This set is a resin accessory in 1:72 scale, not an airplane model. It replaces the engine tail nozzle of an F-16I Sufa plastic kit with a faithful resin casting carrying well-defined petals and inner structure. A detailed nozzle is one of the most conspicuous areas of a model to the eye, and a resin casting offers a crispness that plastic reaches only with difficulty. The set is meant for more experienced modelers.
The F-16I Sufa is the Israeli two-seat version of the F-16 with a powerful turbojet with afterburner. The structure of the rear fuselage with its prominent exhaust nozzle and its system of control petals is characteristic. An accurate rendering of the nozzle markedly raises the realism of a finished model.
These are resin parts for advanced builders. Wash the casting to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting block and clean up the surfaces with airway protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It pays to paint the inside of the nozzle in shades of tempered metal and weather it lightly before assembly.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The aircraft kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
