A photo-etched metal detail set in 1:35 scale from Aber for a model of the American amphibious vehicle Ford GPA. It replaces coarser plastic features with fine photo-etched parts and adds details that a plastic mold cannot capture faithfully. It is not a vehicle kit but a metal accessory for more experienced modelers.
The Ford GPA was the American amphibious version of the famous Jeep light truck of the Second World War. With its boat-shaped hull and a propeller it was meant to cross water obstacles, but in practice its poor seaworthiness held it back. It served with the American and Allied armies, among them Soviet units.
Separate the photo-etched parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife on a glass surface and bend them with a photo-etch bending tool or a metal ruler. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with glue for photo-etched parts. Degrease the metal parts and apply a metal primer before painting.
This is a photo-etched accessory for a model, not a standalone vehicle kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
