An injection-molded plastic kit of the T-80 series main battle tank in its T-80BVD version, in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model is worked out in detail, holds photo-etched parts and additional material, and is meant to be glued and painted.
The T-80 is a main battle tank of Soviet origin that became famous for its gas turbine drive, which gave it high mobility and rapid acceleration. It carries a 125 mm smoothbore gun with automatic loading. Modernized versions of the T-80B series were given explosive reactive armor and further changes of equipment that raised their protection and combat value. Tanks of the T-80 series made up an important part of the armored forces and their modernizations remain in active service.
Assemble the running gear first and fine-tune the fit of the hull, and only then add the photo-etched parts, the blocks of reactive armor and the turret fittings. We recommend a uniform base shade with an airbrush, edge highlighting and restrained weathering with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects. Glue the fine parts only at the end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
