The set contains four resin ventilator bases for models of the American M48 tank and of its Israeli versions designated Magach 1 and Magach 2. Magach is the Israeli designation for the American M48 and M60 series tanks in Israeli service. It is a detail accessory for a plastic kit in 1:35 scale, not a model in its own right.
Tanks of the same type were modified continuously during their service, and the ventilator bases are among the parts that differ from machine to machine in shape and in height. The manufacturer therefore lists several variants and this set carries the variant 1 designation. Before you glue the part on, compare its shape with a photograph of the particular machine you are building. With Israeli vehicles that matters all the more, because many of the modifications came about gradually, so the same type could look different in different periods.
Cut the original plastic detail off and sand the area on the turret roof or the hull flat, otherwise the new base will seat askew and it will show from every angle. Do the check dry against the light; a gap under the part shows up immediately that way. Wash the resin in lukewarm water with detergent before gluing, glue with cyanoacrylate glue and, if needed, run a thin strip of putty into the joint. The painting is simple, because the part is meant to be in the same shade as its surroundings; its character comes only from dusting and a fine wash around the edge.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without the base kit. Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package.
