The kit captures the Chinese guided missile destroyer Shenyang of the Type 051C in 1:350 scale. The model from the manufacturer Trumpeter has a well worked hull that can be built as a full hull on a stand or as a waterline, and it holds photo-etched parts and decals with the markings of the ship.
The Type 051C is a class of Chinese guided missile destroyers built for the air defense of a task force. The ship is based on the lengthened hull of the previous project and carries a Russian surface-to-air missile system with vertical launch, as well as anti-ship missiles, a gun, close-in weapon systems and a helicopter platform. Shenyang is one of the vessels of this class.
Choose the full hull or the waterline beforehand. Glue the plastic with a thin cement and sand the hull seams over. Fix the photo-etched antennas, radars and railings with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay the gray shades on with an airbrush over a primer and accent the panels and the superstructure.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
