A resin accessory for 1:48 scale from the Wheelliant brand. This is not an airplane kit but a set of replacement wheels for the single-seat F-16C/CJ in the block 40, 50 and 60 versions. The tires are weighted, that is flattened at the bottom and slightly bulged, with a fine tread pattern and a well-modeled hub. The blocks with stronger landing gear, block 40 for example, use more robust wheels, and this set matches them.
The F-16C/CJ of blocks 40 to 60 are among the modern, high-performance versions of the Fighting Falcon, often capable of demanding strike missions. The higher takeoff weight and the strengthened landing gear show on the wheels as well, so on a model it matters to use a tire that matches the particular version; otherwise a small but conspicuous detail is wrong.
Wash the castings to remove the release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Mask the hub and the tire separately, flatten the rubber down and dust it lightly with pigment. Protect your airways while sanding.
