An injection-molded plastic kit of the light twin-engine multi-purpose Eurocopter EC 145 helicopter in 1:72 scale from Revell, in the configuration of the demonstrator machine. The model offers an articulated surface with engraved panel lines, a cockpit, a passenger cabin with seats, a moving main rotor and skid landing gear. The box contains plastic sprues, clear parts and decals; go by the instructions for the exact contents.
The EC 145 is a light twin-engine helicopter developed in cooperation with a Japanese partner. It is based on a proven design and offers a roomier cabin; it is used by rescue services, by the police and in civilian roles. The demonstrator machine served to present the capabilities of the type.
The cabin glazing is prominent on helicopters, so it pays to mask the frames and to glue the clear parts with an adhesive for clear plastics. Paint the interior before closing up the fuselage. Cut the delicate rotor blades and antennas off the sprue carefully and clean them up; an airbrush and thin coats suit the painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
