Five Hercules aircraft from five countries in 1:72 scale: a firefighting machine from Colorado and Japanese, Pakistani, Saudi and Swedish transports.
Responsibility details are not available.
Few aircraft serve as long and in so many roles as this high-wing machine with a cargo ramp. It carries freight and paratroopers, refuels other machines, measures the weather, fights fires and lands on surfaces where a jet airliner would have no business being. The sheet shows five machines that are utterly different in their coloring as well as their equipment.
What is on the sheet. It opens with an American machine of an Air National Guard unit from Colorado fitted with a built-in firefighting installation for drops on forest fires. It is followed by a Japanese aircraft in a gray transport coat, a Pakistani veteran of an older version, a Saudi machine from a unit based by the Red Sea and finally a Swedish transport, which has a type designation of its own with its home air force. In time it covers a range of roughly 2013 to 2020.
Practical notes on applying them. The package contains the decals for 1:72 scale only; the model is obtained separately. The fuselage of the Hercules is strewn with lettering and warning markings, so expect longer work and plenty of clean water. The large national insignia on the wing run over riveted seams, so you cannot do without decal softener and patience; lay the individual decals one at a time and let them set before you start on the next. At the end, even the surface out with a flat overcoat.
