An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian Macchi MC.202 Folgore fighter in 1:72 scale from Hobby 2000. The package combines proven plastic parts (molded by Hasegawa) with quality decals and masks for the glazing. Check the exact contents and the schemes against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Macchi MC.202 Folgore was among the best Italian fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by an inverted V12 derived from the German Daimler-Benz DB 601 and built in Italy under license, thanks to which it reached excellent flight performance. In 1943 these machines defended Italian territory; this is a later stage of service than that of the desert aircraft from North Africa, and the color schemes match it.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and clean up the seams carefully. Paint and highlight the cockpit before closing up the fuselage; protect the glazing with the masks supplied and fit it with canopy glue. After the gloss coat and the decals, accentuate the panel lines with a wash and add fine wear in keeping with service in 1943.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
