Injection-molded plastic kit of the Boeing 757-200 civil airliner in 1:144 scale from Eastern Express. The package holds plastic sprues and a decal sheet for a version in a particular airline livery. Scale 1:144 is the most widespread one for airliners, so the model fits well into a collection beside aircraft from other manufacturers and stays comparable in size.
The Boeing 757-200 is a narrow-body airliner with a pair of engines slung under the wing, a slim fuselage and high takeoff performance. It was exactly this combination of payload and the ability to operate from shorter runways that made it a popular aircraft on medium and longer routes with smaller passenger numbers. The 757-200 version is the baseline of the family and its most widespread variant.
With airliners the smooth surface decides. Fill the seams on the fuselage carefully and sand them with progressively finer papers, polishing them if need be, because every scratch shows under a gloss finish. Deal with the cockpit glazing with a mask or a decal, according to what is in the box. Start the finish with a primer, then lay down the white base that is the key to civil schemes and only then the colored stripes. Apply large airline livery decals in sections, with plenty of water and a decal softener, so that they settle on the rounded fuselage without creases. Finally overcoat with a gloss varnish, or with a satin one according to the pattern.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
